At CFIA this year, Epi Ingredients will be showcasing its concentrated aromatic products offering, also known as EMDI (enzyme-modified dairy ingredients), which currently consists of two ingredients: a milk concentrate and a cream concentrate.
These products are 100% natural flavors and contain no additives, no texturing agents and no preservatives; allowing them to be used without negatively impacting the ingredients list. They are designed to increase the creamy flavor as well as overall body and smoothness in a broad range of applications; thereby for example making it possible to maintain the rich and creamy taste of a traditional product such as quiche or ice cream, without sacrificing on texture or taste.
Developed to provide food and beverage manufacturers an easy-to-use, innovative alternative to formulate finished products that are both healthy and indulgent, Epi Ingredients’ concentrated aromatic products are also aligned with the ‘clean label’ trend, still at the forefront of consumers’ expectations.
